10.0		A Feast for Odin is the best game I have played since BattleCON: Devastation of Indines came out.
9.0		What makes Rosenberg's work so elegant is that he doesn't do obscure or unclear rules - rather, his games are a collection of interlocking yet simply rules and actions.
8.5		This is my favorite Uwe Rosenberg game of all time!
6.0		I think fans of Caverna, Fields of Arle and so forth are likely going to be spending the next couple of months digging into A Feast for Odin, and I think for that crowd this game will likely be a crowd-pleaser.

What we really have here is a brilliant civilization building game with many of the core hallmarks of more complicated 4X games, wrapped in an attractive package absolutely soaking in well researched theme, plays in about 90-120 minutes, and plays equally well with 2, 3, or 4 players.

8.0		Dead of Winter is a meta-cooperative psychological survival game. This means the players are working together toward one common victory condition--but for each individual player to achieve victory, they must also complete their personal secret objective. This secret objective could relate to a psychological tick that's fairly harmless to most others in the colony, a dangerous obsession that could put the main objective at risk, a desire for sabotage of the main mission, or worst of all: vengeance against the colony! Certain games could end with all players winning, some winning and some losing, or all players losing. Work toward the group's goal but don't get walked all over by a loudmouth who's only looking out for their own interests! Take that, Pandemic problem!

9.0		If you're looking for a thematic pick-up and deliver and don't mind being in it for the long haul, then this game is for you!
8.0		In Firefly: The Game, based on the popular Firefly television series created by Joss Whedon, players captain their own Firefly-class transport ship, traveling the 'Verse with a handpicked crew of fighters, mechanics and other travelers. As a captain desperate for work, players are compelled to take on any job -- so long as it pays. Double-dealing employers, heavy-handed Alliance patrols, and marauding Reavers are all in a day's work for a ship's captain at the edge of the 'Verse. Firefly: The Game is a high-end thematic tabletop boardgame from Gale Force Nine (GF9) and the first in a series of tabletop hobby board games and miniatures games from GF9 set in the Firefly Universe. Also, Tom Chick who doesn't even know the TV show liked the game, so we've got that going for us.
8.0		For fan's of the show this is a must have.

If a worker placement Euro game is not your cup of tea, forget about “Lorenzo”, because this is its heart and soul.

 

 

Mechs vs. Minions   7.8

Mice and Mystics   6.3

9.0		This is a great introductory game into the card drafting mechanic.
8.7		Oceanos is a great, light drafting game that would make for a great entrance to the hobby for anyone who's played a board game before. In addition to its accessibility, it is quick to finish, gorgeous to observe, and flat-out fun to play.

In Tiny Epic Kingdoms, a 4x fantasy game in a pocket-size package, each player starts with a unique faction (which has a unique technology tree [which -- let's be honest here -- isn't a tree so much as a stubby stick]) and a small territory. Throughout the game, players collect resources, explore other territories, battle each other, research magic, and work to build a great tower to protect their realm.
