A Dog's Life

6.3

7.0 If your kids are just getting into playing family board games, we’d recommend you give A Dog’s Life a play.

A Feast for Odin

8.4

7.0 If you like playing a game once and then moving on to something else, A Feast for Odin may not be for you. But if you want a heavy Euro game that you can come back to time and again, A Feast for Odin absolutely won’t disappoint.

Affliction: Salem 1692

6.0

6.0 Affliction is a fine game that stands atop its exquisite framing of history while expressing its themes in a masterful way.

Alien Artifacts

6.3

8.0 A great scifi themed card game that provides a ton of replay value, as long as you are ok with some luck in your games.
8.0 The combos are almost perfect, nearly every card contributing something — here a discount, there a freaky tech that lets even your face-up planets produce resources — without ever smashing the game’s sense of balance and pacing.

All Out War: The Walking Dead Miniatures Game

7.9

8.0 One of the strongest features of this product - and I'm absolutely not joking - is the larger sized box.

Altiplano

7.9

8.5 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.
8.0 Altiplano is a game of limited, unpredictable resources, and the fuel for even the most finely honed engine can suddenly run dry.
8.0 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.
7.0 Altiplano is a Garden Deck setup.

America

7.0

6.0 As an appetizer of trivia for a heavier evening of gaming it works. However, hungrier fans will be reaching for games with more quantity of trivia afterwards.

7.0 Good. Usually willing to play.

BONK

7.5

Can't Stop Express

8.1

9.0 While I enjoy a good game of “Yahtzee”, my brain often feels left out as if there’s not a whole lot for it to do. “Can’t Stop Express” more than addresses that problem and what’s more, no luck-based re-rolls!
8.0 There's something charming about a simple dice game, and Can't Stop Express is a good example of a game that is elegant in its execution, and yet challenging and addictive to play.

Coaster Park

3.0

3.0 Overall this was a terrible experience, best avoided in my opinion - if you are an adult veteran gamer like myself.

Codex: Card-Time Strategy

8.0

8.0 It isn’t the best collectible card game out there, but it is the best un-collectible card game out there.

DAEMON TRILOGY: SUBROSA

8.0

8.0 Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa invites you into a world of treacherous magic and more treacherous nobles.

Dark Moon: Shadow Corporation

9.0

9.0 The paranoia is thicker, the accusations bitterer, and the decisions far tougher. For fans of the original, this is a must.

9.0 Excellent. Always want to play.
8.0 Dragon Castle is specifically, because we have nothing like it in our Collection.

Dream Home

7.2

7.0 “Dream Home” is the kind of game that made me consider placing a living room in both my upper floors because I could.

El Grande

9.0

9.0 The game is all about abstract cubes and makes minimal effort to breath its theme.

7.8

Fast Forward: FLEE

Fetch

2.0

2.0 Very poor. Annoying, I plan to never play this again.

Fleet Commander: Nimitz

6.0

3.0 The game is simple and straightforward in its approach to a rather large and complex situation, however this simplicity coupled with wild randomness becomes frustrating at times.

Flick 'em Up! Dead of Winter

8.0

9.0 Flick'em Up: Dead of Winter is a great sequel to fun game.

Flip Ships

7.9

8.0 Dexterity games might not be the first thing that springs to mind when I think about clever game design, but Flip Ships is still the sort of thing I don’t mind playing in between bouts of something more serious.

Fog of Love

7.3

8.0 Approached in the right spirit and with the right person, it's a fun game that offers a bonding opportunity..
8.0 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

Go Go Gelato!

7.5

7.5 Go Go Gelato! is a fantastic transformation of Dr. Eureka to a game for children, that adults can still enjoy.

Goosebumps: Terror in the Graveyard Game

6.0

6.0 The game does more right than it does wrong.

Grand Prix

7.8

8.0 Grand Prix is an interesting racing game that is surprisingly abstract for its theme.

Head of Mousehold

7.0

7.0 Head of Mousehold's cute theme and clever antics make for a great lunch time game, but the game doesn't quite have the legs to be a perennial favorite.

Hero Realms: Boss Deck – The Dragon

8.2

8.2 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

Hotshots

7.4

6.0 A solid cooperative game with some really good production values, just be aware of the luck-based nature of the gameplay.

In the Name of Odin

6.8

7.0 Game has interesting use of cards, that you use to choose what you are going to do.

Indian Summer

8.2

9.0 The physical content of the box is great.
7.3 The game is actually very simple, the first player to completely cover their player board in leaf litter tiles wins.

Innovation Deluxe

10.0

10.0 I like all of the expansions, but once again I'd mainly recommend them for advanced players who are very familiar with the base game

Joraku

8.4

7.5 Joraku is an interesting game that marries up trick-taking with area control, and bundles it up in a very small package.

King Frog

6.3

6.0 Only preschoolers and those who love the lightest of light games will enjoy the bulging eyes hopping around the lily pads.

Kokoro: Avenue of the Kodama

6.5

6.5 Kokoro: Avenue of the Kodama is definitely a light game which plays in a short length of time and is also very portable (we've played it 2-player on a train journey).

Lappen Schnappen

5.8

5.8 Average. No significant appeal, take it or leave it.

Leaders of Euphoria: Choose a Better Oppressor

7.0

7.0 Leaders of Euphoria needs at least six people (seven or eight are even better) and it needs someone to say screw this.

Legacy of Dragonholt

8.0

8.0 There's not a huge amount of depth (yet) but the end result is a very enjoyable and approachable experience, so I'm happy we have it.

Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

4.5

4.0 This could possibly be higher, but not with the game that is provided in the box.

Legendary: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

4.0

4.0 Buffy super-fans could pick this up and enjoy the theme while ignoring the problematic gameplay.

Lemuria

5.5

4.0 Despite the effective tweak that the star altar injects, Lemuria struggles to punch above its weight.

Magic Maze

7.6

4.0 I haven’t hated the time I’ve spent with it but I wouldn’t choose to play this over any other game in my collection – including Catan.

Manhattan

8.5

8.5 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

March of the Ants

7.0 Good. Usually willing to play.

Museum Heist

6.8

7.5 Interesting choices with some bluffing and deducing.

NMBR9

7.4

6.0 A solid filler game that’s easy to teach and almost feels like a puzzle at times.

Nimbee

5.0

5.0 Nimbee is a card game that lags behind our expectations.

Noria

7.0

8.0 So...for 2 players it feels more like a single optimization game, but it still is fun.
6.0 The game is also pretty blunt as it comes to player interaction: there is little in this game, and the interaction that is offered more often than not are pretty direct negative 'take that'-style actions.

Noxford

6.3

8.0 Great, sometimes spiteful, interaction.

Nusfjord

8.5

8.5 The game is streamlined and for me has the right number of turns, I like having always 3 actions rather than snowballing like Odin or Agricola/Caverna.
8.5 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

Odin's Ravens

8.3

8.5 Odin’s Ravens pits the Norse God’s two lookouts against each other in a race around the globe.

Oh Captain!

8.0

8.0 Since the game is relatively short and there isn’t much to the setup, it’s super simple to just start another game right after one finishes.

Orleans

8.5

8.5 Идеальной игрой Орлеан назвать нельзя, но как минимум пару раз сыграть в нее точно интересно.

Ortus Regni

8.5

9.0 Ortus Regni works great with just two earls and probably shouldn’t be played with more than four anyway.

Otys

8.0

8.0 Try it out if you like euro games, Otys is something new in the sea of games.

Outpost: Siberia

3.9

5.0 Outpost: Siberia sounded very interesting.
4.0 Outpost Siberia has some good ideas, and there is some fun to be had, until the sinking feeling that the game may be unwinnable in it's current state starts to sink in.

Pathfinder. Карточная игра: Возвращение рунных властителей. Базовый набор

7.8

8.0 Игра не для всех, но если она зацепит, то остановиться будет уже невозможно.Игра не для всех, но если она зацепит, то остановиться будет уже невозможно.

Petrichor

8.0

8.0 I highly recommend this game to players that enjoy a smooth playing heavy-ish game with a fair bit of interactivity.

Photosynthesis

7.3

7.6 If you’re looking for a game with simple rules, straightforward play, short player turns, strategic planning, player interaction, and is visually appealing, then we highly recommend you play Photosynthesis.

Problem Picnic

7.8

7.8 It’s the right level of silly and strategy that works for me.

Prospectica

8.0

8.0 I didn’t last long mining for ore in “EVE Online”. There were times where I actually enjoyed the monotony, but I didn’t like how long it took to progress toward the mid to later stages only to lose everything when making a careless mistake. “Prospectica”, luckily, doesn’t have that issue. You’re still mining ore and earning money, but in a casual and laid back kind of way.

Queendomino

8.4

8.2 When we just want quick and simple, we’ll pull out Kingdomino. When we want a fun tile-laying that’s still relatively quick but with more strategy, we’ll pull out Queendomino.

Rajas of the Ganges

9.0

9.0 Rajas of the Ganges uses a unique mechanic that mixes the workers with dice where the dice create opportunities or challenges in how the workers can be used.

Reef Route

6.3

6.0 Reef Route is quick and fun kids game, but hampered by its direct conflict.

Rhein: River Trade

5.8

6.5 Player interdependence.

Rhino Hero: Super Battle

8.7

10.0 Takes everything we love about the original Rhino Hero and adds in more variety and excitement.

Richard The Lionheart

6.0

6.0 Fair. Some fun or challenge at least, will play occasionally if in the right mood.

Rum & Bones: Iron Inquisition

7.0

7.0 Good. Usually willing to play.

Sagrada

8.0

9.5 Sagrada is a standout of 2017

Santorini

8.1

9.0 “Santorini” is as abstract as they come and by golly, it’s a lot of fun.
7.3 Santorini is one of a handful of games I rated 9.

Seikatsu

7.7

8.0 The pleasant art and simple systems belie a deeply tactical experience I keep coming back to play.

Shadow Strike: Melee

8.0

8.0 It’s very quick and simple to play.

Small Detectives

7.0

7.0 Good. Usually willing to play.

Small World: Sky Islands

8.0

8.0 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

Sonar

7.2

6.0 It’s pleasant enough, and although that very word — pleasant — is like spittle on Captain Sonar’s deck, it still retains some of its appeal.

Spoilers: The Beginning

6.0

6.0 Fair. Some fun or challenge at least, will play occasionally if in the right mood.

SpyNet

7.0

8.0 A quick, accessible tread through majority control delivers engaging play and tough card draw decision-making.

Star Cartel

7.6

6.0 If you're looking for a cognitive lark and want to rub some space bucks between your fingers, make room in your smuggler's hold for Star Cartel.

Star Wars: Imperial Assault Core Set

8.4

7.5 Dungeon crawling is just a fun genre.

Stop Thief!

7.6

7.0 The game would benefit from a reference card that reminds players of the thief’s movement, but this is easily rectified by printing/photocopying that page of the rules.

Sunken Sailor

3.5

3.5 It’s a fun little game, but it’s missing a big part of what makes A Fake Artist so great — it’s portable, whereas this is kinda bulky.

Take A Train

5.0

6.0 Fair. Some fun or challenge at least, will play occasionally if in the right mood.

Talisman 4th Edition

10.0

10.0 Talisman remains the most primal, the most accessible, and the most adventurous adventure game of all.

Terra Mystica: Gaia Project

9.0

9.0 Gaia Project шикарна, во всех смыслах.

Terraforming Mars: Venus Next

8.0

8.0 Very good. Like to play, will probably suggest it, will never turn it down.

The Pyramid's Deadline

7.5

7.5 Some of the mathy / rulesy parts kind of confuse new players, but at its core it’s a neat little game of tile placement and press-your-luck dice drafting, making for a neat combination that isn’t too similar to anything I’ve played before.

The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31

6.0

6.0 For those of us who like our Cylons salty and our resource economy tighter than our belts, Infection at Outpost 31 is as much a half-measure as locking Blair in the tool shed and hoping he doesn’t get turned into a Thing while we’re busy elsewhere.

Time of Legends: Joan of Arc

8.0

8.0 Gamers interested in not so complex and fast war games (e.g. Battlelore?), with a soft spot for the theme and beautiful miniatures, will probably like it.

Tiny Epic Galaxies

7.8

8.0 Tiny Epic Galaxies is a genuinely great game with some underlying structural flaws that rob it of true excellence.

Tomb of Annihilation Board Game

8.5

8.0 If Wizkids can get their act together with the quality control, then the next game in this range could be epic.

Twilight Imperium (Fourth Edition)

9.5

10.0 Includes all 17 races from the the 3rd edition core game and expansions, plus a lot of the best content.

Unearth

6.9

7.0 Like most, it offers variants to further broaden its scope, but sticking to its core allows players to delve deep, expand their minds and take on a challenge as old as time itself, bending uncertainty to their will and uncovering the glory of an age past.

Valeria: Card Kingdoms

8.6

9.0 I love the look and feel of the cards and the wooden pieces that are included with the game.

Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire

9.3

10.0 Between the cardplay, the constantly in flux and asymmetrical agendas, the tactical positioning, and the differences between each character, there is quite a lot going on here beyond the dice-rolling, smash-mouth good times that its predecessor Gorechosen offered.
9.0 Out of the core set I was surprised to see how well balanced these two very different teams played.

Wettlauf nach El Dorado

8.1

8.0 Despite a fixed set of cards to access, there’s strategic deck-building and fun racing aplenty along the road to El Dorado.

Who's the Dude?

6.5

6.5 Fair. Some fun or challenge at least, will play occasionally if in the right mood.

Witches of the Revolution

6.8

7.0 If you can manage your expectations and overcome the fiddly difficulty settings, though, Witches is a hexing good time.

Woo-Hoo!

6.0

6.0 A good starting place to get your kids into gaming.

Word Rush

6.0

6.0 Fair. Some fun or challenge at least, will play occasionally if in the right mood.

World Championship Russian Roulette

8.3

8.0 World Championship Russian Roulette is a great party game, as long as all players are okay with the theme

Zendo

7.0

7.0 Zendo is its own thing

Zephyr: Winds of Change

8.0

8.0 Zephyr: Winds of Change is first about theme and processing.

Zero Down

6.0

6.0 Simple rules, simple gameplay make this accessible to, really, anybody.

Zpocalypse 2: Defend the Burbs

7.8

7.0 I’d take this Grey Poupon lathered beef product over that runny mustard filler any day of the week.

За пятью печатями

6.7

8.0 While not a favorite, this will be added to the regular rotation of quick game options while we wait for late arrivals, as it is a fun and engaging game that is easy to get into and get running quickly.

Замки Бургундии

7.8

8.3 Castles of Burgundy can be enjoyed by gamers and non-gamers that don’t mind the initial learning curve.
8.0 Only a few of the other alea-titles actually can claim to offer a complexity which compares with Die Burgen von Burgund, and the sheer variety of possibilities to score victory points gives the game a high degree of variation which poses a new challenge with each new game.

Зомбицид

7.9

8.0 It is rooted in the perfect design of the game's mechanisms and of all playing components.

Инновация

8.7

9.0 Even if you regret it, I all but guarantee someone at the table is going to fall in love with the contents of this marvelous tiny little box.

Каркассон. Альпийские Луга

7.8

8.5 В первую очередь Альпийские луга выделяются веселым настроением и летней теплотой.

Переворот

8.1

7.0 There’s no hunger in me to play Coup – no real appetite to get stuck in.

Робинзон Крузо. Приключения на таинственном острове

8.0

8.0 Playtesting quickly revealed that many factors had to be considered and rememebered by the players, and here the design and arrangement of the different areas on the gameboard cleverly help the players to manage the game!

В блоке с Altiplano у Rahdo и Dice Tower один и тот же текст, но разные оценки, это так и задумано или опечатка? :)
